Privacy Policy
The short version. Witness has no account, no server and no analytics. Your video, audio and location never leave your phone. We — the developer — cannot see any of it, because none of it is ever sent anywhere.
1. Who this covers
This policy applies to the Witness Android application published by MMS Studio (“we”, “us”). It explains what the app records, where that stays, and what it never does. It applies to the app only, not to any other software on your device.
2. Information we collect
We collect nothing. Witness does not have user accounts, does not contact any server operated by us, and contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting service. There is no mechanism in the app by which your recordings, location or usage could reach us.
3. What the app records, and where it stays
Witness necessarily records a great deal in order to function as a dashcam. All of it is written to your device and stays there.

Driver-assistance analysis — collision, following distance, lane departure and reading speed limit signs — runs entirely on your device using models bundled inside the app. Camera frames used for it are examined and discarded immediately; they are not saved separately and not transmitted.
4. What we never do
- We do not upload your footage, audio or location anywhere.
- We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone.
- We do not show advertising, and we do not use advertising identifiers.
- We do not track your usage of the app.
- We do not require an account, an email address or any sign-in.
5. Permissions, and why each is needed
Android will ask for these. You can refuse or later withdraw any of them in your device settings; features that depend on a refused permission simply stop working.

6. Third-party components
Witness is built with Google libraries — ML Kit, MediaPipe and TensorFlow Lite — that perform the on-device vision work. Their models are bundled inside the app and run locally; the app does not download models and works with no connection at all.
Witness itself does not declare internet access. Some of these Google libraries do, and they may send their own diagnostic or usage information to Google independently of anything we control. That processing is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy, not by this one. We receive nothing from it.
7. Keeping and deleting your recordings
Recordings loop: once the storage you allocated is full, the oldest unlocked clip is overwritten by the newest. Clips locked by an impact, or locked by you, are never overwritten automatically — you delete those yourself.
Everything in the app’s private storage is deleted when you uninstall Witness or clear its data. Clips you explicitly save to your gallery are copied into your device’s shared Movies folder and are not removed by uninstalling — they belong to your device’s media library, and you delete them as you would any other video.
8. Children
Witness is a tool for drivers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone — of any age — because we do not collect information at all.
9. Your rights
Rights to access, correct, export or erase personal data apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none. Everything Witness records is in your possession on your own device, and you can view, export or delete it at any time from within the app or your device’s file and gallery apps.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes on Google Play.
